This is a place where you can learn how to create web photo album in Dreamweaver in a very short time. If you click on a thumbnail present on the photo album it will enlarge the picture which helps you to see the photo clearly. The thumbnail has certain other facilities such as navigation to go forward or backward which helps you to view the whole album. The web photo album is used for several purposes such as product showcase, portfolios, art, Image and photography galleries and more.

You must do certain things before creating web photo album. First thing is to create a new folder and keep all the large sized images in that. The firework software helps to create the thumbnails of the images which are done automatically.

1. If you have completed all the above procedures, follow the steps mentioned here for creating a photo album in Dreamweaver
2. Open your Dreamweaver site. Add a folder and give a name according to your wish for your photo album.
3. Open any page within your site.
4. Select Commands/Create Web Photo Album which is in the toolbar.

    

   1. You must give a title for the album and a subheading info which is shown in the thumbnail page and the enlarged picture pages respectively.
   2. After doing the above step you must browse the source image folder that you have created before for keeping all the images.
   3. Choose the destination folder from folder that you have named above and select the thumbnail size from the drop down menu.
   4. Enter the column count to show the thumbnails and rest can be left as such or can be changed with respect to the optimization.
   5. Click ok and you can see the fireworks software adding thumbnails for all the pictures.
   6. By satisfying all the above the steps you will get a message informing that the photo album has been created and you can view the folder that you have named above. 4.Now the album will be in an unformatted state in which you will have a folder which you have named above under which there will be 3 folders named thumbnails, images and pages for thumbnails, images and pages respectively.Index.htm page will be having almost all the thumbnails with links to the larger images.
5. After finishing all the above steps you must go to the index page. Here in the index page you can the format the page by applying the template and can use CSS styles for formatting the text.
6. The newly created gallery will act as if it is the part of the site. You can continue this process for all the pages you have.
7. Now you have created a web photo album using Dreamweaver software.
