Horizontal line effect in fireworks

Thick Scanline effect in Fireworks

This Tutorial will teach you how to do this in Fireworks.

Step 1

Open an image.

Step 2

Take the Rectangle tool from the toolbox and draw a rectangle over the image. The rectangle can be any color.

Step 3

Select Texture from Properties and choose Line Horizontal-3. Give the Texture Amount to 50%.

Step 4

Go to Layers and change the opacity of the rectangle to 35. You can try changing the color of the rectangle to match. Also play around with different textures same way.
